MISSION: Buena Vista Children’s Services is a community-based nonprofit organization that designs, develops and implements model programs for children. Programs address emerging needs in the areas of child care, child abuse prevention, education, parenting, special needs, resource and referral. Buena Vista Children’s Services fosters innovative programs and leadership to enhance the quality of life for children in Yavapai, Navajo, Coconino, Gila and Apache Counties.

Our mission is to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children who are involved in the Juvenile Court System.  We promote and support community based volunteers, certified by the Supreme Court, who provide quality advocacy to help assure each child a safe, permanent and nurturing home.

DEL E. WEBB FAMILY ENRICHMENT CENTER (Yavapai College)

MISSION: The Del E. Webb Family Enrichment Center provides a developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages 3 months through 5 years, while serving as a laboratory school for students in the Early Childhood Education program at Yavapai College. The Center offers a quality program based on best practices, promotes parent involvement, and serves as a model for the broader community.

MISSION:

Provide support to the families, students, parents, community and staff members as a safe haven where people can get whatever assistance or referrals that they need. Identify, coordinate, and provide assistance and support for the students who comprise our “homeless” population.

FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER, YAVAPAI REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

MISSION: To provide developmental information, emotional support and community resource referral services to families with newborns and/or young children in the greater Quad City area. This includes voluntary programs like First Steps and Healthy Families that are provided at absolutely no cost.

GMO-Free Prescott works to raise awareness and increase understanding about the health risks associated with the consumption of genetically engineered foods (GMOs) and their related pesticides. We are committed to a grassroots effort that encourages informed, nourishing and safe food choices.

MISSION: Healthy Families is a voluntary, free home-visitation program that helps families foster self-sufficiency, encourage parent-child relationships, find community resources, address health, safety and developmental needs and promote literacy and school readiness.
