4-H YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

MISSION: The mission of Arizona 4-H Youth Development is to provide educational opportunities for youth to become capable and contributing members of a global society. This is accomplished by providing opportunities for youth to have a sense of belonging, mastery, independence and generosity. AGENCY SELF-DESCRIPTION: 4-H offers a Cloverbuds Program for ages 5-8, a Traditional 4-H Program for ages 9-19 and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) education outreach school programs. Programs are offered in communities throughout Yavapai County and are facilitated by University of Arizona staff and certified volunteers. 4-H programs include:  horse science, large and small livestock, environment and natural resources, aerospace and science programs, food and nutrition, plant science, public speaking, leadership and community service.
